Remembrance Day November 11th
ALL members are invited to attend and march in the parade. Members who are currently serving in the RBR should seek permission from the RSM.

If you plan on marching on November 11th, please let us know so we can configure the guard size.

0900 hrs. BVRC ceremony at Victoria Park
1000 hrs. Fall in #1 Car Park- Remembrance Parade Front Street

Remembrance Sunday November 12th
RBRA has been asked to support this event in St. Georges with as many RBRA members and veterans as possible. Details will follow but there is a service at scheduled at St. Peter’s Church for 11:15. It is expected that we will move to the RAA Club after the church service for lunch. There may be a fee for lunch and we are expecting more details. Members are encouraged to bring their family along.

Remembrance Day November 11th
SUMMARY INFORMATION November 11th 2022

1) Assembly Point: No.1 Car Park at 10:00 hrs

2) Veterans NOT marching who wish to join the RBRA Guard can wait in front of the Cenotaph on the OPPOSITE side walk. Once the guard arrives you can fall in the rear rank of the RBRA. Watch for the RSM who will assist this process. Dress is the same.

3) After the official ceremony is over, the RBRA will return lay our own wreath at the cenotaph and members are welcome to fall back in for this event.

4) As is customary, after the conclusion of the ceremony, all members are invited to the Ex-Artillaryman’s Association to share a beverage per the RBR tradition.

Poppy Sales
The Bermuda Legion is still in need of volunteers to assist with poppy sales. If you have some free time please contact Carol Everson on 732-0100 and offer your assistance.

General
1. The Remembrance Day Parade is to commemorate those who fell in the two World Wars and other campaigns of the Allied Forces. It will take place on Sat, 11 Nov 23, commencing at 1030hrs at the Cenotaph on Front Street, Hamilton.
Units on Parade
2. The following units will be on parade:
War Veterans (WW2, Other Allied Forces);
Royal Bermuda Regiment;
Royal Bermuda Regiment Catafalque Party;
Royal Bermuda Regiment Gun Troop;
Royal Bermuda Regiment Band & Corps of Drums;
Bermuda Police Service;
Royal Bermuda Regiment Association;
Royal Bermuda Regiment Junior Leaders;
Bermuda Sea Cadets;
Salvation Army Bermuda Divisional Band;
Somerset Brigade Band & North Village Band;
Bermuda Islands Pipe Band.

Dress
3. Royal Bermuda Regiment Association (RBRA) will wear:
1) White shirt with RBR tie (if available or service tie)
2) Grey trousers
3) Black shoes
4) Blazer with RBR crest (if available or service crest)
5) Head dress (optional-beret with service cap badge or suitable hat if desired-NO BALL CAPS)

Note that if you do not have the full dress as above, as long as you look respectable you will be allowed to march.

Poppies
5. Poppies are to be worn by all ranks on parade. All uniformed personnel will wear poppies behind the left button of the Ceremonial Forage Cap. On berets, the poppy will be worn behind the cap badge.
Assembly Area and Order of March
7. Detachments One (1) and Two (2) are below, and should assemble as follows:

Detachment No.1 will consist of the following contingents:
(1) Royal Bermuda Regiment Band & Corps of Drums;
(2) Salvation Army Bermuda Divisional Band;
(3) Royal Bermuda Regiment Catafalque Party;
(4) Royal Bermuda Regiment;
(5) Bermuda Police Service;
(6) Royal Bermuda Regiment Association;
(7) Royal Bermuda Regiment Junior Leaders;
(8) Bermuda Sea Cadets.
Assembly Point: No.1 Car Park.
Route: Front Street to Cenotaph.

Rehearsal

16. There will be a full rehearsal on Sun, 5 Nov 23. All personnel participating in the Remembrance Day Observance are to be assembled at No.1 Car Park at 0730hrs. Marching units please note that full Guards and Bands are to turn out for the rehearsal.
Inclement Weather
21. The decision to adopt the Inclement Weather format will be made at 0900hrs on the instruction of Her Excellency the Governor after consultation with the CO of the RBR through the ADC.
22. The inclement weather service will take place at The Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, Hamilton. The program and sequence of events is at Annexes E & F to this instruction.
